Care

Self-directed support ensures that people take the lead in planning and developing their individual Pathway Plan and day-to-day activities. These plans may consist of accessing voluntary or paid work placements, further education or learning opportunities, and social and leisure activities.

People are supported to become more independent by, for example, learning how to run their own households and learning how to drive. Options Bredon House is therefore an ideal service for people who wish to transition into supported or independent living.

We aim to make the sometimes difficult transition to supported living both fulfilling and rewarding. Being committed to the personalisation agenda and following our own person-centred planning approach, choice and control are at the heart of the service Options Bredon House provides. Our aim is to prepare vulnerable people for a happy life of inclusion.

We provide:

independent flats
personalised and self-directed support
supported integration into community life and real work opportunities
support to develop independent living skills such as learning to cook, clean and run a household, and budgeting
support to transition into semi-independent or independent living
a focus on developing each person’s individual potential for independence

Accommodation

Based in the local community of Powick, Bredon House consists of 8 independent flats each with bedroom, en-suite bathroom, kitchen/diner and lounge. Bredon House provides a very high standard of accommodation that any person would be happy to move into as they reach adulthood or achieve greater independence. Personalised programmes and flexible staffing enable people to learn how to live as independently as possible with the minimum of support. Located only 2 miles away from, and with regular transport links into, the city of Worcester and Malvern people are able to pursue many social and leisure interests, as well as opportunities for further education and work placements.
