Options Rose Cottage offers residential care to children with autism, complex needs and associated learning disabilities and sources education and clinical input from Options Autism Kinsale.
Rose Cottage acts predominantly as a pathway home offering continuing care for young people originally placed at Kinsale that have demonstrated that they are ready for this step down provision. The service encourages young people to continue to make the positive progress they have already made whilst placed at Kinsale. Staffing levels are less intensive, for example three staff to four children, which encourages young people to be more self sufficient albeit in a structured and nurturing environment.
The service provides a positive caring environment that promotes development and supports our young people to achieve positive outcomes, enabling them to eventually progress either to a family-based placement, independent living or a return home.
