Across our range of services, we support a variety of groups to achieve positive outcomes and incredible futures – everyone from children and young people to parents, carers and local authorities.
Children and Young People
With a network of amazing schools and residential homes located throughout the UK, and highly skilled clinical and wellbeing teams dedicated to helping children and young people achieve their potential, Options Autism has established a deserved reputation for outstanding quality of service.
From initial diagnosis, our expert teams create tailored plans designed around the needs of each child, young person and adult. Our Pathway to Independence ensures that each programme takes a long-term view, with the aim of leading the individual towards increased independence, happiness and empowerment.
Working in tailored environments, we nurture each child, young person and adult and value them as a unique individual. We understand the responsibility this brings, and our teams are passionate about always delivering the very best for each person we work with.
Adults
Young people’s needs evolve as they transition to adulthood, and we remain with them all the way, guiding and advising at this crucial time of life. There will be new legislation to get to grips with, benefits to understand, accommodation needs to plan and much more besides. It can seem complex, but our team is prepared to ease the transition.
It takes insight and expertise to create a tailored transition plan, but with a wealth of expertise in funding, placements, benefits and legislation, we’re well prepared for what’s ahead. After all, our priority is to smooth the transition and unlock an incredible future, whatever the individual’s personal situation.
Everything we do is built around the young person’s specific needs, and input from parents and carers is a valuable part of planning the transition process. There’s no hard and fast rule as to when planning should begin, but it could be from as early as 15 years old, so if it’s something you’d like to discuss, do please get in touch.
From discussions around future living arrangements to ongoing education plans – including a move from one of our schools into one of our colleges – there’s plenty to talk about. We’re here to help everything make sense.
Parents and Carers
The parents and carers of the children and young people we educate are so important, and we take care to give them all the expert ongoing support they need at every stage of their partnership with us.
From the moment you make your first enquiry right through the child or young person’s time in one of our schools we’re there for you with tailored advice and support.
We take the lead in liaising with both carers and families, and the other agencies and authorities who may be involved in building appropriate care around your child or young person’s specific needs. We recognise that carers and families are likely to be encountering many of the processes and procedures for the first time, and we make sure you feel supported every step of the way.
We’re more than happy to take referrals direct from parents and carers, and with a network of schools across the UK, we take care to identify the right setting for each individual child or young person. So if you’d like to make a referral or you simply want to know more, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Local Authorities
With a crucial role to play in the care and wellbeing of vulnerable children, young people and adults, the expert teams in local authorities around the UK are as committed to quality, safeguarding and excellence as we are.
By building strong partnerships with our local authority colleagues, we help make sure those we educate benefit from the best possible relationships with those charged with looking after them. We now work with over 200 local authorities across the country and we’re proud to be a trusted partner with a proven track record in education – an organisation on which local authorities can rely.
