Waterloo Lodge School Raise £1600 for Charity

We are so proud of our staff and pupils at Waterloo Lodge School!

Over the last twelve months, they have raised an amazing £1600 for Derian House Children’s Hospice in Chorley, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary.

Fundraising activities included cake sales, odd socks day, Genes for Jeans, World Book Day and an amazing Open Day. Plus, Head Teacher, Helen Rigby, challenged Waterloo Lodge’s Form Teachers to each create and design a profitable business, with a starting budget of just £25 and all profits donated to Derian House.

The school’s initial pledge was to raise £1000 so all at Waterloo Lodge were amazed when the final total came in at £1600.

A huge congratulations and well done to everyone involved, what a fantastic way to start the year!
