Options Barton gets into the Olympic spirit at sports day

Options Barton held their annual sports day on Thursday 21stJuly. With the Rio Olympics underway, the sports day was themed around the Olympics, and the teams represented England, Scotland and Wales.

Nineteen children took part on the day, including children from our Outreach services, who made a special visit for the occasion. The children were cheered on and supported by parents, grandparents and siblings.

The day was filled with a range of fun games and activities, including a tug of war, three-legged race and a shuttle run using bean bags and a hoop.

We ended the day on a high with the traditional Barton school giant water fight, with the winner of the event decided by who was the wettest at the end. Fortunately the sun was shining all day, so everyone dried off quickly.
