Know Yourself, Grow Yourself: Supporting Children’s Mental Health

This week marks Children’s Mental Health Week, and the theme is “Know Yourself, Grow Yourself.” It’s a powerful reminder that nurturing children’s mental wellbeing is just as essential as caring for their physical health.

Mental health challenges can affect children at any age. That’s why creating spaces where they feel safe, heard, and valued is so important. Even the smallest gestures can have a lasting impact—taking time to listen, sharing a laugh, or simply being present can make a world of difference.

Let’s use this week as a chance to encourage open conversations about emotions, teach self-care habits, and remind young people that asking for help is a strength, not a weakness.

For more tips and resources, visit www.childrensmentalhealthweek.org.uk. Together, we can help every child grow into their happiest, healthiest self.
